Why Ladbrokes called us Criminals on National TV

Not long ago, the CEO of one of the worlds largest bookmakers called us criminals on prime time national TV.

That’s when we knew we had a good product.

Our supposed crime was to launch our software product RebelBetting. It’s a tool that lets you bet on sports and make a profit no matter the outcome of the match. This can be done if you can find two or more particularly high odds on the same match, called a sports arbitrage. This effectively turns sports betting into a way of investing your money, with regular profits above 10% per month.

Bookmakers that are good at estimating odds welcome arbitrage traders because they more often than not win their bets — while bookmakers that are bad at determining odds lose money to our users. This is why we pissed off Ladbrokes!

This might be the most significant release since the launch last year.

We have rebuilt the AutoSurf almost from scratch, and ripped out the slow and unreliable Internet Explorer that has been the “engine” of our betting browser. Mozilla Firefox is the new engine. This means dramatic improvements in speed and accuracy, and the AutoSurf will also be better maintained as we can respond faster to changes on bookmaker sites.

AutoSurf Tips

• Press F1-F3 to expand the browser for bet 1-3. Return the display to normal with F4.
• Use the new Findbox in the lower right of every browser. You can use it to find a participant or any other text on the page quickly. Press it repeatedly to scroll through all matches.
• If the AutoSurf fails for some reason, try clicking the participant name, or the event name, or the [A] button to retry from the beginning.

Cross Market Arbitrages in RebelBetting 2.5

We are proud to inform you that we have released a new version of RebelBetting with Cross Market Support! Not only can you now bet on regular arbs like 1X2, OU, AH – you can now bet on arbs that mix these markets for you! This significantly boosts the number of arbs available, and often these Cross Market arbs hang around longer – giving you more time to place your arb.

Sounds great, but how does does it work?

What if you could bet on the Asian Handicap market together with the regular 1X2 market? Well, now you can! Cross Market arbs are a mix of two or more different markets.

Example of a Cross Market arb:

• Team1 @ Bookie1 – AH1(0)
• Draw   @ Bookie2 – X
• Team2 @ Bookie3 – 2

1. If Team1 wins the match, you will win your bet at Bookie1.
2. If Team2 wins the match, you will win your bet at Bookie3.
3. If the match ends in a draw, you will get your stake refunded at Bookie1 and win your draw-bet at Bookie2.

Sounds difficult? It isn’t! RebelBetting calculates all this for you, and even shows you what stake you should place, depending on what Cross Market arb it is, what odds are involved and what total stake you have set. The example above is just one Cross Market arb variation. We currently support over 70 Cross Market types, and will be adding more over time.

RebelBetting 2.0 released! Now displaying ALL odds

Version 2.0 of RebelBetting has just been released. Instead of just showing a list of arbs, we now present all odds from all bookies for that particular game. This is very valuable when you need to see next best arb, and will make it much easier to spot a possible palp/void (watch out for odds that differ a lot from the others).

We have now released two new versions within four weeks, and we’re not stopping. A new bookmaker (NordicBet) is already implemented and will be added in the coming days (after some testing). We also have a few major improvements coming up within the next weeks that I’m sure you’ll like!

Version 2.0 details

Every arb-row in RebelBetting is now expandable. By clicking on the “+” (next to the arb percentage) you’ll see the odds on every book for that match.

The best odds will be selected by default (depending on any specific filters you might have set).

Bookmakers you have disabled are shown, but in light grey.

The percentage for the arb (displayed to the right of the odds in the list, as well as in the “Arb Details panel”) will change if selecting other books in the list.

Sometimes, a higher odds on Betfair can result in a lower arb than a lower odds on another bookmaker. This is because of your commission percentage set under Options. In other words, the odds of a bet with Betfair will always be displayed as the actual odds. But the arb percentage will change depending on your commission at Betfair.

RebelBetting on the South Pole!

A few months ago we noted that we have RebelBetting users in all continents of the earth, except Antarctica. Now finally, RebelBetting has conquered all continents of the world! :)

Our friend Christian is currently doing research at the Amundsen-Scott station at the South Pole, and very kindly took these pictures. As a thanks, we gave all his friends back in Sweden a month free. As promised earlier, RebelBetting will always be free to use from Antarctica :)

RebelBetting 1.4 released

RebelBetting 1.4 has been released, with much anticipated improvements to the alerts, and a new bookie Bet-At-Home!

Improved Alerts

Alerts now work as expected, with a balloon alert window popping up when new or improved arbs are found:

This is a great improvement since the previous version (that always showed the highest arb even if it wasn’t new or improved). We recommend everyone to enable this option. Click Options (Alt+O), click Alerts and then Show balloon. You can then enter a lowest arb percentage that is required for the alert balloon to show.

Clicking the arbs in the alert window brings RebelBetting to front and marks the highest new arb.

Arb Change Icons

Small icons have been added to the main list of arbs so you can easily see which arbs are new and which have been improved. (This is of course completely configurable in the redesigned options window).

New arbs: Yellow star icon
Improved arbs: Green arrow up
Decreased arbs: Red arrow down

Improved Options Window

The options window have been redesigned from scratch, and a number of new settings have been added.

You can now have two different alert sounds, for example one for lower arbs and one for very profitable arbs. A bunch of new alert sounds have been added.

You can minimize RebelBetting to the tray bar, check the application settings.
